The Okon's home during the year 2005 in Middle Valley has been full of life and happiness. Walt has been working an exciting project for the Department of Defense called Net-Centric Enterprise Services for the past year. Christmas 2005 find Walt in the same organization, but, now he has been asked to start another new organization - a technical Customer Engineering group for the DoD. Also, this year Walt graduated from the Executive Leadership Development Program from The George Washington University on May 5, 2005. In addition, completed his Master's Certification in Computer Systems Engineering. There is still traveling, briefings, and teaching of Net-Centric Architecture. Rosie continues her work as a nurse at the Washington DC Veterans Medical Center. Rosie is now working in the Silver Clinic that maintain management of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) that integrates nephrologic expertise, patient education, and comprehensive supportive services. Rosie is still an active member of the Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF) Northern Virginia Chapter.
We still host an Asian American Couples Bible Study program at our home every other Friday night. Also, we have been enjoying the Team Mates Bible Study group at Mclean Bible Church. This study is all about marriage enhancement and making marriage fun. In fact, this december we are taking a Marriage Course; it is a very romantic date night with flowers and candles - it is really a fun thing to do.<>In July, Walt and Rosie combined vacation trip and attending the 22th Balikatan Conference in Vancouver, Canada at the The Gage Tower, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. After the conference we took a Royal Caribbean Alaskan Cruise on 03 July 2003 on an unforgettable 7-night journey aboard a Royal Caribbean Ship departing on an Alaskan adventure from Vancouver, British Columbia and continue on to Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan 03 -10 July 2005.

05 February - Rosie travels to Zambonga, Philippines to attend the wedding of her niece.
20 March 2005 - Walt and Rosie host Ohio State International Students in our home while they are visiting Washington DC.
09 April 2005 - Walt and Rosie go into Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossom trees at Haines Point Road
>05 May 2005 - Walt Okon graduated from the Executive Leadership Development Program at the Defense Information Systems Agency.
19 June 2005 - Walt Okon rides an ATV on Father's Day. Steve Okon looks on with a smile as Walt drives in front of their home.
28 August 2005 - Walt and Rosie go to Virginia Beach to attend the Jolo Sulu home town reunion.
10 September 2005 - Birthday party for Rosie's niece Lauren Cruz daughter of Lilette Go Cruz and Angelo Cruz at her first birthday.
1 October 2005 - Rosie's class mate Rosalinda from Silliman University stayed with us for a while after New Orleans, hurricane Katerina.
